That Sounds So Good

Sometimes I have to live with and get to know a piece of clothing, a work of art, a cookbook, etc., to really fall in love; that is precisely what has happened with Carla Lalli’s second book, That Sounds So Good. I love so many of her recipes, her breezy no, nonsense spirit, and the delicious result that occurs every time I crack open either of her cookbooks. I am fired UP about this Tandem-Roasted Chicken Trick that I just prepped and am trotting out tonight, and other big ole hits are as follows: Sorry, I like Celery Salad (my DREAM), Charred Broccoli with Spicy Avocado Sauce, NOT-Scary Grilled Whole Fish and there is a whole chapter on grilling which thrills me to no end because this means we are SISTER-GRILLERS-IN-ARMS. Carla is a momma of boys, and she knows how to please a crowd of all ages. I keep coming back around to this one, and it keeps bringing me and the familia a lot of joy.
